Eustreptospondylus
Eustreptospondylus (che significa "vertebre ben invertite") era un teropode megalosauride tetanuro (un grande mangiatore di carne bipede) lungo circa 23-30 piedi (7-9 m), del peso di circa 440-550 libbre (200 kg a 250 kg). Questo predatore aveva una grande testa, denti lunghi e affilati, braccia corte e una struttura primitiva dell'anca. Visse durante il periodo giurassico medio, circa 165 milioni di anni fa. Fossili incompleti sono stati trovati in Inghilterra. Eustreptospondylus fu nominato da Richard Owen nel 1841. La specie tipo è E. oxoniensis, che fu nominata da C. A. Walker nel 1964.
